Tripp Escape Teal Medium Suitcase

"Bought this to replace a Tripp suitcase we’ve used for nearly twenty years until the handle broke. Had set of three and have been very happy. Wanted same design but no of course has been ‘improved’. It is expandable (not a benefit in my opinion) , this makes the case wobbly in the middle. I never expanded it but the whole thing feels unstable. The handle is forced to one side which further increases the sense of imbalance and is so flat against the case makes it difficult to get hold of. Same thing with the pull handle which is streamlined so much into the case that again you have to dig for it.
Worse thing is the mesh cover on one side. Was a great feature but now not double ended zip. Rather poor zip and to accommodate the expansion feature I guess, is sunk so far down that it really reduces what can be safely stored there. Anything placed on top of the mesh in the expanded area has nothing to secure it and falls in a heap if you happen to not check which way up you have the case. A complete pain.
Had I been able to examine this in store( good old Debenhams) I would not have bought it and definitely won’t be buying another . Such a shame as the others have travelled many many miles."

"Had difficulty with delivery. On purchase I was offered to deliver to my local post office. However when it came to deliver somehow it became apparent that a suitcase is too big for a post office to receive. This delayed my delivery and was frustrating because they sent my entire order back to Tripp and created it again with a new order number. And took another week to deliver in two separate deliveries. I was frustrated. My contact with Tripp was good. However they should not provide the option to deliver somewhere when it is clearly not possible."

"Nice enough lightweight suitcase with added bonus of an inbuilt TSA lock and being able to expand. Easy to manoeuvre with handle, either on 2 or 4 wheels but off-centre handles not great for carrying / shifting about. Like so many products these days, this case has been 'value engineered' and I miss the double ended zip from the internal netting and the solid retainer with pockets that Tripp cases used to have."

"I have been unable to operate the combination lock on one of my medium suitcases using the recommended 000 initial setting since I received it. Unfortunately, it was too close to the holiday date to contact Tripp about the issue so I just used a padlock (old school style)"
